Romans 6:23 - Poster by mostpato Romans 6:23 - Poster by mostpato
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus.

The pleasure and profit of sin do not deserve to be called fruit. Sinners are but ploughing iniquity, sowing vanity, and reaping the same. Shame came into the world with sin, and is still the certain effect of it. The end of sin is death. Though the way may seem pleasant and inviting, yet it will be bitterness in the latter end. From this condemnation the believer is set at liberty, when made free from sin. If the fruit is unto holiness, if there is an active principle of true and growing grace, the end will be everlasting life; a very happy end! Though the way is up-hill, though it is narrow, thorny, and beset, yet everlasting life at the end of it is sure. The gift of God is eternal life. And this gift is through Jesus Christ our Lord. Christ purchased it, prepared it, prepares us for it, preserves us to it; he is the All in all in our salvation.

Christianity isn't a religion, it's a relationship. It's an easy mistake many make because for many it is a religion but in truth it has always been and always will be a relationship with a God who loves us, His children.

Tolerate, lovely word. What you believe is your business, i respext that. But please understand that Christianity, TRUE Christianity, is a choice of free will. Not something you are supposed to be forced into. Like MANY try to do. I just wanted to make known not all of us are bitter, rude, and joy stealers. Because if someone says they're a Christian and they act like THAT then they must not know truly what God's love feels like. Thank you for replying, it means a lot that you took the time to do so. ^.^

if its something that isnt supposed to be forced, then allow me to ask you, faithful christian, a few things... (and please dont get them wrong)
why do parents baptize their children when they are too young to decide? i mean wouldnt that be a little bit wrong? it feels like taking their choice. e_e
can i christian follow god but also other gods? a friend of mine believes in god but she also have 8 other gods in her heart. o0o
would i get problems if i worship the old gods on a sacred place where now stands a church? lots of churches were build on sacred places. D:
if we ever meet any aliens who dont know god, wouldnt that be against the teachings of the abrahamic religions? <____>
and at last but the most important thing: god created the universe reeeeaaaaaaaally fast... but why did he need seven/six days for the planet earth? did he make some more rest to grab a beer? did he play hold em poker with other gods, angels and things?
yay, im talking too much, fear me! >:E

I bet you are a very 'spiritual' person with gifts and callings that God gave you but it has been blurred through religion, paganism, humanism and many other things. You have a heightened sense of spiritual awareness, which is good, it just needs to be channeled, and directed by the Holy Spirit. The enemy loves to take genuinely gifted people and confuse them, that way, they will never become the true ministers of the gospel, thereby reaching the lost and defeating the kingdom of darkness. Just something to think about.

To be honest, Speary, we have different views about this, since i believe in an independently mind, soul and body for all creatures that can decide its path, a gift by the nature itself, and a good birthgiving from my mother, hehe. The fact that i decided to follow the Old Gods is because it feels really good and understandable for me - not for all but at least for me.
Today i dont even give a single fuck about followers of the abrahamic religions, but i respect christians a bit more, though it depends on the persons. I just ignore them and let them live their lifes as they do the same by me.

Duly noted, although I think you are amazingly gifted and very spiritual. Thanks for responding. I enjoy hearing the viewpoints and convictions of others. I also appreciate the fact that even though you may not agree with others, you choose to "let them live their lives" as long as they do the same for you. I am a Christian, but I totally believe in the love concept, because when my life was a total mess. . . and I do mean a mess. . . it was simply the love of someone greater than me that loved me back to wholeness and sanity. Now, that is just MY story :-) I understand and respect that everyone has their own individual stories and honestly, that's what makes us all so unique and awesome!

As for the first part, many of your questions are coming from denominations belief. What you are talking about is Christening, NOT baptism. It is a ceremony that is not relavent to God because you did not make the decision, your parents did.

I am Christian because I chose to give my life to God, and to show that, I was baptized. I was NOT baptized as a baby and made the choice myself as a teenager to be baptized. I did it in front of my best friends and I remember it all clearly.

And Christianity is not only belief in One God is it also the relationship with us and Jesus Christ. The Son of God who came to Earth and died for us though he did NOTHING wrong to wash away our sins. You mistake religion for a relationship with your view of Christianity, but many do. The definition of Christianity has been twisted, and I am sorry you've had to see the twisted version instead of the pure one.

If aliens exist they have as much free will and we have as much free will to explain what we believe. And go out separate ways if we wish.

On the creation topic. May I ask you why is it in many mythologies and stories especially Greek and Egyptian, their gods could move mountains and tame oceans? So why can't my God, the True one, create things in a matter of days?

I hope this answered your questions, and you didn't phase me one bit. I am determined to explain my relationship with my Heavenly Father, just as much as I would explain any other dear relationship I have.

You believe what you believe, I am not telling you otherwise. That is what humans special, we have free will. Freedom to choose what we want. Many are forced into Christianity and given rules, but TRUE Christianity is freedom, joy, and peace. Following a Father and a Savior who want nothing less then our happiness.

I wish you the best with your life and I also thank you for your questions. They have made my faith stronger and have also given me more experience with explaining my faith.
